A collection of information clipped from newspapers, magazines, and other publications on the Van Vleet family's ranch and the Lazy VV, which they purchased in 1938 and sold in 1987.

Photographs preserved by David Reynolds. This collection contains scanned images of photographs that can only be viewed by contacting the library. The actual photographs remain in the possession of the Carnegie Library patron who gave us permission to scan the images and to include them in this virtual collection.

This folder contains archival photocopies of newspaper clippings about Boulder County individuals. Martin Parsons collected the clippings. Many are clippings of Forest Crossen's historical column in the Boulder Daily Camera, or of George W. Stryker's "Pioneers I have known" column in the same newspaper.

One vertical file that contains information clipped from newspapers, magazines, and other publications on Caribou Ranch recording studio. The property that became Caribou Ranch was homesteaded in the 1860s by Sam Conger, who later discovered Caribou Mine. In 1971, record producer Jim Guercio bought the ranch and built a recording studio. Caribou Ranch was integral to the music scene in the 1970s until it gained competition from other destination studios. Recording and mixing continued through the mid-1980s when a fire closed the studio on March 2, 1985. The gates finally closed in 2014.
