During the summer of 2008, Peter Richards invited people who had been part of the mountaineering industry in Boulder to come together for a reunion conversation about the companies with which they had been involved. Participants included George Lamb, Penny Cunningham, Jim Kack, Jon Hinebauch, Bill Forrest, Dave Robertson, Dale Johnson, Ingvar Sodal, and Gary Neptune. The recording includes stories about the development of the industry, the rise and fall of companies, descriptions of the advent of many innovative products, and stories about individuals involved in the industry.

Description
David Robertson worked as a miner in hard-rock mines such as the Caribou Mine and the Good Friday Mine in the 1950s, and later as a geologist in a mine in Missouri, before returning to Boulder in 1963 to work at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). In this interview he describes mining equipment and techniques; and discusses mine safety and danger, illustrated by stories of his experiences in the mines. He also talks about working for Roy and Alice Holubar, travels in Alaska, and working in the then-new NCAR building in the 1960s.
