ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: Two-story hipped roof brick dwelling with flared overhanging eaves. Facade features 2 1/2 story projecting, pedimented bay with cut-away corners with decorative brickets. One-story, full-width, hipped roof porch with pediment over entrance is supported by classical columns; balustrade; lattice under porch. Pediment of central bay features semi-elliptical window with tracery and keystone, as well as decorative shingles., Central window of each story of bay is sash and transom. Paneled and glazed doors open onto porch. Windows include double- hung 1/1 light, leaded glass (on north), and sash and transom; stone sills and lintels on first story; segmental arches on rear elevation. Stone foundation. Two brick chimneys. Stone retaining walls., STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: This house is significant as representative of the Victorian Eclectic style, as reflected in the semi-elliptical window representing the Colonial Revival style, the classical details of the porch, and the tower with cut away corners and brackets representing Queen Anne influence.
