Two letters have been digitized: a letter from 1 October 1949 that tells about Johnson's first experiences as a student of University of Colorado, freshman hazing, and rock climbing and a 10-page letter postmarked 9 December 1949 that tells the story of Johnson and his friend Phil Robertson painting a "C" on the Third Flatiron and the consequences after being found out.
