Contains Jean Sherwood's printed Christmas card, undated, with a poem "On Colorado," and her manuscript article on "The value of an art museum," also undated.

Contains photographs from the first summer of the Blue Bird Cottage showing the interior and exterior of the house in 1911, and various clippings, incoming correspondence and other papers regarding the Blue Bird Club that Mrs. Sherwood collected. The latter part of the scrapbook contains papers concerning fund-raising activities of the Altrua Lend a Hand Circle of which Mrs. Sherwood was the president, ca. 1908. Clippings, songs, letters, telegrams, poems, and other printed materials are included.

The Rock Island railroad produced this fold-out brochure to advertise its train service to the Bluebird Club's two retreats for Chicago women in Boulder and Gold Hill, Colorado. It contains three photos, and such information as train fares and schedules. Probably late 20s or early 30s.

These are various issues of the Blue Bird Club's monthly newsletter. Except for the 12-page twentieth anniversary bulletin of October 1930 (2 copies), the bulletin was four pages in length.

Contains incoming and outgoing correspondence of Jean Sherwood, some typewritten and some manuscript. One describes a portrait of her by Ralph Clarkson. Most of Mrs. Sherwood's outgoing letters in this folder are to A. A. "Gov." Paddock.

Typed text, with hand written corrections, of Professor Boggess' speech accepting the portrait of Jean Sherwood that was unveiled in the art gallery of the University of Colorado, Boulder. He paid tribute to Mrs. Sherwood for her love of beauty and her wholesome influence on the Boulder community.
