A view of the steel-frame 9th St. bridge in Boulder on 15 July 1926. It had collapsed into Boulder Creek on 1 July 1926 under the weight of one of the city's street sprinklers. Alvin Morgan, city employee and son of the Boulder street commissioner, was driving the 12-ton truck across the south span of the bridge at 3:30 p.m. when it collapsed (Tangen photo #10156)

Box 2 was separated from the Bob and Ella Travis Collection #496 and contains many cellulose and a few glass plate negatives that are thought to have been purchased by Carl Travis from the Out West Photo Shop, and probably taken by Ed Tangen. (There is one cellulose negative with a matching print stamped by Tangen. The numbers match all the others in the collection.) These negatives have been digitized for online viewing.
