Young Martin, including: a teaching contract with the Boulder school district for the 1922-23 school year, a 1922 Public Schools of Boulder Teacher’s certificate for first grade, a type-written letter from a family friend on New York Times letterhead (signature illegible), a “record of scholarship” for a 1923 term at the University of Colorado including courses taken and grades, a 1924 letter from the Superintendent of Public Instruction of the State of Colorado confirming eligibility for a 5-year state certificate. Also included is a 2005 letter written by Margery’s daughter, Mary M. Hayes, telling the story of the family’s 1922 arrival in the Boulder area.
