The building site represents what was once a bountiful fruit orchard and an important asset to the community during the town's development. It also represents the efforts of Western pioneers to cultivate the land and establish agriculture as a viable resource for the Boulder Valley., The building is also significant for its association with Joseph Wolff, renowned for his horticultural experiments; Lucius Paddock, publisher of the Boulder Daily Camera; and E.H.
