Phil Stern has lived in Boulder since 1967. He has worked on many environmental issues through his positions as Director of Environmental Affairs for the Boulder County District Attorney's Office and as a city council person from 1981 to 1987. He describes many of these efforts and also describes the development of and his involvement in the Jewish comunity in Boulder. He was part of the establishment of Congregation Har HaShem at the time it evolved from the Boulder Jewish Fellowship. He discusses what he sees as some of the positive and negative aspects of the growth of the Jewish community in Boulder.
