Eaves with decorative brackets below. Wide paneled cornice with modillions., First story has round arched windows with small stained glass panes and hoods. Shed roofed porch supported by slender, turned wood spindles with brackets. Wood porch floor. Center door which is paneled and glazed with round-arched, stained glass transom over. East side has one-story bay with small stained glass panes in segmental arched windows and decorative brackets under eaves. Open porch on east supported by turned wood spindles. Corbelled brick chimney, which has been painted, STYLE : French Second Empire., DATE BUILT : 1880., DESIGNATION : National Register eligible., STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: This is a rare example of the French Second Empire style in Boulder. The well-preserved house displays many elements of the style, including the shingled mansard roof, gabled dormers with stained glass panes, the wide cornice with brackets, the bay window, window hoods, and one story porches.
