A view of the Public Service Company's electric power generating plant at Valmont, east of Boulder, photographed from Hoover Hill in 1925. The snowy range of the Continental Divide is visible on the horizon, beyond the city of Boulder. Weisenhorn Lake became one of the three Valmont Lakes or Reservoirs in the early 1920s when the Public Service Company purchased the land for the Valmont Power Plant. The third lake is Leggett-Owen Reservoir (Tangen photo #9415)
