Description
This collection consists of 250 photographs and snapshots of people (mostly unidentified) and locations throughout Colorado. The title was chosen because a woman simply named "Ethel" appears in many of the photographs, often with a man named "Claude". Based upon a 1919 postcard addressed to Mrs. Herman Springer, it seems probable that Ethel is Ethel R. Springer, Herman's wife.

Description
Views of the lodge. John B. Copeland homesteaded the Copeland Lake area and the first hotel on the site was the Copeland Lake Lodge. Under later ownership it became known as Wild Basin Lodge. In 1980, the original building burned down and a new Wild Basin Lodge was built across the street.
