Description
Leo and Albert are brothers and fourth-generation ranchers in Boulder County. They discuss family history, beginning with the immigration from Ireland to Boulder County of their great-grandparents in approximately 1880. They describe the ranch land owned by their family and give a month-by-month account of the yearly cycle of work involved in cattle ranching. The discussion covers topics such as haying, horse breeding, cattle breeds, and the advantages of branding over ear-tagging. They also tell about attending the Marshall School as young boys and riding their horses to Boulder High School in the 1950s.
