This folder contains a number of tables containing annual climatological data concerning Boulder, Colo., for the period 1897-1974. Tables are on the highest, lowest, and mean temperatures, long-range normals, and (accompanied by articles in the Daily Camera) summaries of the weather in the years 1965-1967, and 1969-1974. Also, a note on the location of the Boulder weather station ca. 1910.

This folder contains a table of the city of Boulder water supply as of 1 May 1956, a "proposal for smog free city" by Weather Engineering Inc. (Denver, Colo.) which refers to the high winds at Boulder, and a notice dated 7 Apr. 1978 from the National Bureau of Standards (Boulder, Colo.) that it would no longer function as climatological observer for the National Weather Service in the Boulder area.

This folder contains a number of climatological tables containing data for the extremes of weather conditions in Boulder, for the period 1887-1972. Tables are on the lowest temperatures, first snowfalls of the season, cold weather seiges, coldest days, biggest monthly snow totals, 20-year temperature averages, most severe hail and wind storms, wettest months, highest temperatures by months, number of days with temperatures of zero or below, lowest temperatures each year, largest number of days with sub-zero readings, highest temperature in each year, temperatures of 100 deg. F. or over, earliest and latest snowfalls, snows over 10" in a 24-hour period, and biggest single snowstorms.

These twenty-five folders contain numerous informational brochures and other printed items published by the Boulder Chamber of Commerce and other other organizations including the New York Times (in 1982) to promote the tourism features of the Boulder County (Colo.) region. For additional Chamber of Commerce leaflets about Boulder and vicinity, see BHS 328 Boxes 25 and 26., The July-August 1953 edition of The Shamrock contains a long article, "If you're wondering why some cities seem to get all the breaks, take a look at Boulder's formula for civic growth." Includes photographs of the Esquire and Coronet Magazines building, F.W. Reich, the Denver-Boulder Turnpike, the new Municipal Building., The brochure titled Boulder County, Colorado: Her Resources, Minerals, Agricultural, Horticultural, Etc. has a photograph of the Eureka Mine Tram found in 328-73-16.

This folder contains two brochures about the agricultural possibilities and water supply of Boulder County, and a card that lists climatic averages in Boulder for ten years ending Dec. 1906.

This oversize folder contains two blueprint copies of a report on Boulder, Colo., weather data for 1897-1917, compiled by G. A. Giffin, Otto H. Wangelin, and J. A.Hunter, with assistance from M. W. Moyle and J. W. Christian.

These folders (in Box 239 Folder 7 through Box 240 Folder 17) contain archivally photocopied clippings and other printed materials concerning weather observations in Boulder, Colo., as compiled at the library of the Boulder Daily Camera.

This folder contains an 8.5 x 3" notebook, apparently of Calvin Dean, which contains records of real estate transactions and U.S. savings bonds, weather, and addresses. A page of archivally photocopied Boulder, Colo., weather clippings found loose in this volume is also in this folder.
