Porch with some decorative wood trim., STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: In comparison with the typical well-built turn-of-the-century Boulder house, this structure is representative of the 19th century version of a poor man's shelter in a growing mining town -- a vernacular style which is fast disappearing. Located in an area which was considered " undesirable" 100 years ago, this simple structure is a prime example of how and where ordinary people of very modest means lived during Boulder's early years., DESIGNATION: Local landmark, National Register eligible., STYLE : Vernacular frame-side gable., DATE BUILT : ca. 1870
