Two issues of the Pueblo Lore in which biographical information on Charles Ludvic Wilhem Dittmer appears.

This photograph is one of forty-eight sepia photographs contained within an album. All of the images have captions. The album was compiled by Mamie B. Blackburn Tucker, probably at the beginning of the 1900s, sometime after her 1892 marriage to Frank Tucker. The couple and Frank's brother Curtis, lived at 1720 Walnut Street at the time of the June 1900 Federal Census. Frank was employed as a clerk in a dry goods store. The couple was listed in the 1903 Boulder City Directory as living at 805 Mapleton Avenue; his occupation was "clerk". They were not listed in the 1904 directory, and had probably moved to Linn County, Kansas where they lived the remainder of their lives.

This folder contains 3 lists: one of 53 houses, one of 9 houses and the third of 22 houses that were the homes of Black people in Boulder. They were probably pulled from city directory listings. Some addresses are duplicated on all three lists.

The photographs digitized in this record were glued onto pages 1-54 in an album titled "City Homes" organized by Martin R. Parsons. There are 74 pages in the album that show exterior views of early homes in the Boulder area, many with residents and families. If a photograph has been digitized, it is thought to be a unique image in the Carnegie Library for Local History collections or of superior quality than a previously digitized image. Some photographs may have been taken by photographer Joseph B. Sturtevant.
