Coroner's Reports for 1909-1912 of John G. Trezise, photocopied by the Coroner's Office from the originals at the Colorado State Archives, and indexed. Indexes include an alphabetical list of names and death dates, and a chronologic list of deaths with name, cause and place of death. Handwritten and typed notes and reports of the coroner.

ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: Two-story residence with brick walls, painted white. Asymmetrical compostion with hipped roof with wood shingle roofing, set back wing and porjecting, one- story, flat roofed, garage bay. Brick belt courses on second story emphasize horizontal lines. Coping along roofline. Flat roofed hood over entrance. Off-center door. Current door is paneled and has lattice glazing and has sidelights with lattice glazing., Multi-light casement windows grouped and extended around corners. Glass blocks on garage walls., STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: This house is significant for its representation of the Modernistic or Art Moderne style in Boulder. The style, which was rarely used for houses in this neighborhood, is reflected in the asymmetrical compositon, horizontal emphasis, smooth surface, casement windows, and flat hood and garage roof. Few alterations have been made to the building since its construction, and it remains an excellent example of the style., DESIGNATION: National Register Eligible., DATE BUILT: 1937., STYLE: Modernistic/Art Moderne., ORIGINAL OWNER: John D. Gibbons [incorrect on form]. Helen L. Thornton purchased the lot from F.A. Boggess on 22 June 1937. Boggess had owned the lot since 23 June 1925. A building permit was issued to M.P. ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: Massive steeply pitched cross- gable-roofed brick dwelling with front gable which has flared eaves and overlapping one-story gabled entrance bay. Gable eaves have returns with stone tabs. Green wood shingle roofing. Gabled, shingled dormer on front with paired six-light windows. Gable ends are brick and have multi-light casement windows. Lower story of house is composed of rough faced brick in shades of brown with raised masonry joints., Central portion of upper story has rough cast stucco and half-timbering. Entrance bay is brick with semi-elliptical arch and wood paneled door with transom and sidelights. Brick and concrete stairs and stoop; wrought iron lantern. French doors. Six and eight-light casement windows with brick surrounds. Corbelled chimenys are tall with multiple shafts., STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: This house is significant for its well preserved and finely crafted details reflecting the Tudor Revival Style. Features reflecting the style include the steeply pitched cross-gabled roof; the overlapping and flared gables; the stucco and half-timbering; and the multi-light casement windows. The house is also significant as a representative of the work of Boulder architect Glen Huntington, who designed several homes in the University Hill neighborhood., DESIGNATION: National Register Eligible., STYLE : Tudor Revival, DATE BUILT : 1923

These twenty-seven folders contain archival photocopies of clippings for the period 1891-1927 which Ira M. DeLong collected in a scrapbook. The last folder contains various printed items from early 1923 that were found in the same scrapbook.

This collection contains two volumes that hold 59 early photographs of the city of Boulder, Colo. "Rocky Mountain Joe" Sturtevant, Boulder's pioneer photographer, took most of them; some of the earliest photos were taken by an unidentified photographer. Volume 1 contains 40 views of Boulder, ca. 1872-1903; most of these are street views. Volume 2 contains 19 photos, of the Boulder Chautauqua and the nearby landscape, dating from 1899 through 1925, but mostly ca. 1899-1902.

Photos 1 and 2 (from the John and Eula McCollister collection) are undated. Photos 3-6 (with "Northrup Sinn" written on back) appear to have been taken on the same day. "Early 1903-1904" given as date.

These 37 folders contain balance sheets as well as typed copies of the minutes of the meetings of the Colorado Chautauqua board of directors, executive committee and other committees from 26 January 1901 - 11 August 1908. Most of these pages were glued to the highly acidic pages of two scrapbooks, from which they have been transferred into archival folders. The remainder of these pages were loose inside those scrapbooks.

This 380-page scrapbook contains T. H. Jackson's mementoes from his activities as a charter member of the Gamma Kappa chapter of the Sigma Nu Fraternity and his other involvements at the University of Colorado, Boulder, from 1 Sept. 1900 through 1 Apr. 1905.
