These are two pages of a 120-page photo album presumed to have been photographed and created by Rex E. Hieronymus circa 1918-1924. He graduated from the University of Colorado in 1922 in Engineering.

ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: Side gable roofed dwelling with overhanging eaves and exposed rafters; wood shingle roofing; central hipped dormer flanked by shingled dormers with shed roofs. Walls and foundation composed of stone rubble; gable ends are shingled. Porch under main roof has tapered stone pillar supports and piers with wooden balustrade; wood floor. Off-center, paneled and glazed door. Double-hung, 6/6 and 8/8-light windows with stone sills; bay window. Full-height stone chimney on western elevation. In back of property is limestone kiln used for preparing mortar for the house construction. Also stone outhouse at southwest corner., STYLE : Bungalow, DATE BUILT : 1922, STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: This house represents the work of Boulder stone mason John C. Shinkle, who worked on many stone buildings in the city. The house, although altered, is representative of the Bungalow style, as reflected in the gabled rood with overhanging eaves and exposed rafters, the broad porch, the multi-light dougle-hung windows, and the rustic stone construction.

ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: Commercial building consisting of orignal1 1/2 story dwelling with one-story storefront attached to front of house. House is front gabled, with decorative shingles and double-hung window in upper front gable as well as gabled dormer on east. Storefront is flat roofed with shaped parapets with molding along cornice as well as area for nameplate. Center brick chimney, also chimneys at northwest and southwest corners. Walls of house are brick; storefront walls clad with clapboard; stone foundation. Section of original house porch left on northwest corner; shed roofed screened-in porch on back. Center, inset entrance to storefront with paneled and glazed door with transom. Display windows flanking entrance are glass with divided transoms. Paneled kickboards under display windows; house windows segmental arched., STYLE : Twentieth century commercial, DATE BUILT : ca. 1900, STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: This building, which combines an early twentieth century residence with a 1939 storefront, is representative of the development of commercial structures along Arapahoe Avenue during the twentieth century and is one of the best preserved of the remaining historic commercial buildings along the thoroughfare. The building is notable for its well-maintained storefront with shaped parapets, clapboard siding, display windows, and inset entrance, as well as the details of the brick residence behind it.

This collection primarily holds Boulder Daily Camera newspaper clippings and photographs, but also contains other printed materials including correspondence, pamphlets, leaflets, and reports.
