Recipe books and a small number of photographs and miscellaneous items from the Boulder City Bakery.

The collection includes:
Nine recipe books, mostly handwritten. One book begins in Swedish and likely predates the Wickstrom family's time in Boulder (this book is accompanied by a 1996 letter written by Betty Wickstrom that says the book belonged to Olaf P. Wickstrom and tells a little about the book). This and another book are signed "Olaf Wickstrom." A printed "1908 U.S. Navy Cook-Book" is marked "This book belongs to WB Wickstrom, Baker 1st Class, U.S. Navy."
Seven black and white photographs of the Boulder City Bakery and Wickstrom family. (see call# 404-1-1 for digitized photographs).
One Boulder City Bakery business card or label that reads, "One 5c Loaf of Bread" and "N.R. Nostedt & CO., Proprietors."
One Promotional toy bakery van printed "Boulder City Bakery."

According to a 29 October 1948 Boulder Daily Camera article, "The Boulder City Bakery, located at 2026 Broadway, was purchased in 1903 by Olaf P. Wickstrom, an established baker who came here with his family from Blackhawk in that year. In later years, he was joined in business by his three sons, Wendell B. Wickstrom, Percy C. Wickstrom and Arthur A. Wickstrom, all capable bakers." The article was written to announce the sale of the bakery to W.A. Pennington and George Cesna. According to U.S. census records, Olaf Wickstrom was born in Sweden.

Materials were donated in 2023 by Melanie J. Muckle of Historic Boulder on behalf of Lori Wickstrom. The items belonged to Wendell Wickstrom, Lori Wickstrom's father and former owner of the Boulder City Bakery.
