Call Number 995-1-1Date 1954Description One videodisc created in 2010 from 16 mm film probably taken by Victor J. Johnson at the dedication ceremony of the National Bureau of Standards on September 14, 1954. The silent film is nine minutes long; the portion on the dedication begins at three minutes. President Eisenhower is visible in a red convertible. The donor of the film believes that it was taken by her Uncle Victor J. Johnson ("an avid photographer") who moved to Boulder in 1950. He was chief of the Liquefaction of Gases Section and developed the Cryogenic Data Center at the National Bureau of Standards, where he worked until his retirement in 1972.

The film canister is labeled, "Vets at Kids Pond." The location of the film is likely the Evert Pierson Memorial Kids' Fishing Ponds in Boulder. People that appear in the film include: Norman F.
