Many of the people included in this collection were pioneers who came to Boulder County during the gold rush. Accounts include Civil War battle experiences; events encountered en route west including some confrontations with Indians; details about mining, farming, ranching, or establishing businesses in Boulder County; genealogy including spouse and children; and brief mention of political, fraternal, and social affiliations.
