603-20. William P. Herzer Collection. Herzer retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1957, was a member of the Colorado Mountain Club, the Rocky Mountain Climbers Club, and owned property bounded by Cedar Avenue, Alpine Avenue, 4th Street, and the foothills. He built two homes by himself including his home that overlooked his former properties. He also built the Dakota Trail near Alpine Ave. by himself. He started a lime quarry in the 1920s. Most of the views in his collection were taken of his property, Boulder views, and various County locations visited when hiking. (267 slides)
