Description: Photographs of activities and events sponsored by the Boulder Chamber of Commerce, including the annual Arapaho Glacier hike, Christmas festivities, 4th of July fireworks, Pow Wow, Boulder's centennial, new industries, and the building of the Denver-Boulder turnpike. Box 8 contains photographs that were found loose in the 1938-1972 scrapbooks and a collection of 1952-1970 membership cards with images of Boulder. There are also two 1954 oversize photographs.

Description Photographs of a press conference in the UMC on the University of Colorado, Boulder campus. This was possibly held on May 24, 1962 when Scott Carpenter flew into space atop the Mercury-Atlas 7 rocket for a three-orbit science mission that lasted nearly five hours. His Aurora 7 spacecraft attained a maximum altitude of 164 miles and an orbital velocity of 17,532 miles per hour.
