Description: This collection is a photographic record of the Colorado National Guard, Company H, of their participation in the Spanish American War; and of events related to World War I in Boulder, including men being drafted and marching off the Depot to depart to the war, their return at the depot, and Armistice Day parade.

Ownership Note: The photographs in this collection came to A. A. Paddock and his son Laurence Paddock from numerous sources, primarily from pioneer Boulder families who had these photos in their possession and knew of Paddock's efforts to collect and preserve Boulder's historic past. A. A. Paddock was a founding member of the Boulder Historical Society in 1945, and began donating his collection to the Society over a period of years.
Note: This collection is on permanent loan from the Boulder Historical Society.

Description Three portraits of Colonel Peck, dressed in uniform with epaulets and braid and with the G.A.R. insignia pinned on his chest. Colonel Peck lived in the Fort Totten Dakota Territory. His daughter, Lotta Peck, married Sam Sturtevant, son of Joseph B. (Rocky Mountain Joe) Sturtevant.
