This collection is a photographic record of farms, crops, oil fields, locations and life on the plains in Boulder County, covering the 1870s through the 1970s.

These items are on permanent loan to the Carnegie Library for Local History. No duplicated materials may be deposited, or placed on file in any other archive, museum, library or similar repository. Paddock, Alva A, 1887-1961--Photograph collections

The photographs in this collection came to A. A. Paddock and his son Laurence Paddock from numerous sources, primarily from pioneer Boulder families who had these photos in their possession and knew of Paddock's efforts to collect and preserve Boulder's historic past. A. A. Paddock was a founding member of the Boulder Historical Society in 1945, and began donating his collection to the Society over a period of years.

This collection is on permanent loan from the Boulder Historical Society.
