This collection comprises thousands of photographs of Boulder, Colo., taken by photographer Clint Otis Dumm, showing a broad spectrum of scenes in Boulder and surrounding areas. The photos (printed from negatives in 1988-1989 through an LSCA grant) are dated, identified and cataloged to the envelope level (thru Box 14). Approximately half of the views are of natural scenery; about one quarter are portraits, and about one quarter show parades, children playing and other activities.

Boxes 1-14 are cataloged.
Box 15 has not been cataloged. It is a 104-page album with 936 prints. Dumm wrote the negative number and a caption for each.
Boxes 16-31 have not been organized or cataloged.

Clint Dumm at one time worked as a photo finisher at Yocom Studios. He evidently devoted a significant part of his life to taking these photographs and indexing them. He created two indexes: a consecutive index by photograph number, and an alphabetical index of subjects. He stored the photonegatives in custom-printed envelopes that fit in a large custom-made wooden cabinet along with the indexes.
Clint Otis Dumm was a Boulder native. He was a member of the First Methodist Church since 1903. Dumm worked as a bus driver, stone cutter, chauffeur and at various other jobs. Active in scouting, he helped organize Boy Scout Troop No. 71, of which he was the scoutmaster from 1925 to 1938. Dumm was an officer of the State Board of Child and Animal Protection from 1913 to 1963, and was a member of the Boulder Historical Society.
